Out with the clay In with the beads!

Ngunda Kakujaha

Infinite Grace creations launches new 2023 collection.

This simple, classy yet minimal 2023 collection is guaranteed to turn heads and take the fashion accessory business by storm. With winter approaching and fashion narrowing to cozy clothes, accessories are essential to make your look pop!

Infinite Grace creations is a close-corporation that was founded by two young women in 2020. The business started of as a creative outlet offering services and goods that ranged from gift boxes, hampers, gift cards, earrings etc. However, as time progressed demand for earrings became more and therefore the niche narrowed down to accessories.

Now, solely run by one woman (Uzuvira Kakujaha) who has always had an entrepreneurial mind and counts Infinite Grace creations as merely her 7th business venture, she gives credit to her drive towards ownership for her success. With ‘Authentically Namibian’ being one of the business moto’s, she strives to give her consumers cost efficient products, incorporating sustainable fashion, providing quality products which is evident in the new collection.

The 2023 collection being the third Infinite Grace creation collection is personal as it happens to be in the hands of one creative power.

I am able to make this creation my own and provide only the best for my clients. I’m quite excited about this collection because I made sure to learn from past failures, positive and negative criticism from my clients and experience from the previous collection I’m quite optimistic about this collection.

The new collection that is scheduled to launch end of April, varies from different beautiful accessories ranging from headbands, hair accessories, earrings, necklaces, chockers, bracelets, watches, rings and anklets. All these accessories ranging from N$70 - N$300

When asked what inspired the collection, she says,

The bead weaving of the San people absolutely inspired me. I relocated from the city to the Kalahari Desert, where the highest San population in Namibia live and I noticed their beadwork that is associated with their traditional attire which I fell in love with.

Despite the business being for profit, Infinite Grace Creations is cautious about their impact on the environment, hence the new collection plays a vital role in reducing pollution.

Our biggest contribution to the environment is the type of material we use in our creations, for example our recent move from clay to beads. We are conscious of the effect polymer clay has on the environment and the environmental issues that arise from plastic pollution, hence the move from polymer clay that is plastic to beads that can be recycled. We also produce sustainable pieces to reduce waste from the fashion industry,

Says Kakujaha.

Having worked with local influencer Geneva Crow, national fashion entities such a Windhoek Fashion Week and taking part in an international competition namely World Skills Africa this only happens to be the tip of the iceberg as Kakujaha says.

We are all about being authentically Namibian, so definitely expect collaborations with Namibian designers, models, fashion exhibits and events. In fact, our first for the year will be showcasing our new collection at the Otjinene exposition 2023 where the official launch will be taking place
